Read or listen to a story together called, “Matter: See It, Touch It, Taste It, Smell It” by Darlene Ruth Stille. Then, have the child do a science experiment to make oobleck by gathering their materials, making a plan, making a prediction, testing their hypothesis, and comparing the results.

Teaching Mama
Teaching Mama is an education blog that shares hands-on learning activities for toddlers and preschoolers. I like that the Preschool tab is organized by learning topics. I struggle to find resources with Gross Motor Skills activities that engage other learning standards.
PBS Kids: Dinosaur Train
PBS Kids is a great resource for educational games, videos, and printable activities for kids. One particular favorite of mine is Dinosaur Train. Dinosaur Train involves science and natural history, and allows children to explore animals and develop their critical thinking skills as they act like paleontologists.
STEM Activities!
Check out these great STEM activities for preschoolers from Mommy Poppins! STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Some favorites that are listed are building a bridge and experimenting with baking soda. Make sure you ask your engineers to make predictions and observations as they experiment!
