BrainPop Jr. has a variety of videos related to STEAM, reading, writing, and social studies. Children are able to learn about topics by their grade level. Following the instructional videos, there are options to take an easy quiz, hard quiz, create a map, or even tell a joke.

Authentic Learning Experience: BrainPop Jr. allows children to learn about topics that are applicable and relevant to their own lives. The videos require children to be reflective about what they have learned, and explore topics that children are interested and curious about. The movies and games are playful and contain familiar examples from real life. 

Developmentally Appropriate Practices: The activities and opportunities to review skills are based on the designated age range for each video. Children are able to practice their language skills and explore their interests and the world around them. It is individually appropriate because children have the autonomy to choose the topic of their choice based on their individual interests. The resource is appropriate for all students because the topics are diverse and inclusive of different holidays, views, and traditions.
